President Kirk Olson called
the meeting to order at 6:55.
Motion to approve the
August 15, 2001 minutes by Roger Thistle. Seconded by Ed Miller.
Approved.
Motion to adopt agenda by
Roger Thistle. Seconded by Joan Weiss. Approved.
Motion to approve Treasurers
Report as printed by Al Checky. Seconded by Joan Weiss. Approved.
Al Checky gave Kirk Olson
$74 tie-down monies to deposit. He stated that Lee King's plane was removed
in July; therefore Mr. King needs to be reimbursed for his July and August
payments.
Communications: Al Checky
reported that he had received calls from Green Bay and Madison stating that
the FAA has grounded all flights until further notice.
Blacktop patching has been
done to the Northeast runway at no charge by the Town of Prairie du Sac.
Al Checky reported that the
momument company has not completely fininshed work on the Milt Zech memorial
stone.
Kirk Olson presented a
picture of a Mueller Chemical
vehicle that was parked close to the taxiway rather than in the parking lot.
It was decided by the board that no mention would be made to Mueller at this
time as he normally does not do this.
Al Checky expressed concern
about the possible use of the west taxiway which has been closed for some
time and insurance issues that may arise in the event of an accident. Kirk
Olson suggested that if the runway would be used the possibility of a
"Private Taxiway" sign could be placed. He assured The Board that
the property was insured by The Olsons.
Al Checky reported that the
North windsock was taken down and there was not enough room between the
runway and field to put it.
Bob Cushing reported that he
did a fly-by during Kenny McKinney's funeral and it was well accepted by the
attendees.
President Olson asked if
there were any other business; as there was none a motion to adjourn was
made by Roger Thistle. Seconded by Ed Miller. Adjourned.
