Board of Director's Meeting
Prairie du Sac Town Hall
7:00 PM
Present: Jim Kazmierczak, Ron Lins, Roger Thistle, Doyle Curtis, Dean Gilding, George Kaupas, Ed Miller and Kirk Olson.
Doyle Curtis called the meeting to order at 7:04 p.m., Aug 20, 2003 at the Prairie du Sac Town Hall. Dean moved and Ed seconded to accept agenda and minutes, Passed
Jim Kazmierczak gave treasurers report, Ed/Dean passed.
Old Business:
A. Only Doyle, Roger and George were at July 16 meeting, no action was taken.
B. George was introduced and excepted to the board.
C. Review letter asking for funds for legal expenses were discussed and it was decided that a letter should be sent out requesting extra funds spent on legal expenses be reimbursed to the Sauk Prairie Airport. Inc.’s budget. The letter will be sent out to all interested parties to the airport. So far to date over $11,000.00 has been spent on legal fees keeping the airport open and safe for the community.
D. Doyle and Ron reported that the Badger Amm. Should not have any impact on the airport in the foreseeable future.
E. Doyle asked Ron how long does Bart have to appeal the Zoning change, Ron reported that the Town Board has received two Notice of Claim’s from Bart.
F. The tie down money box has been destroyed, Doyle will get another to replace it. The airport received $7.00 for tie down fees.
New Business:
A. Dean has moved and resigned from the airport light replacement duty. Dean also asked to resign from the board but was convinced to stick out his term which ends 6/04. Dean asked for reimbursement of $12.64 for light expenses. Jim/Ed moved and Sec. To reimbursement for Dean, Passed.
B. Doyle asked for a review of voting rights to the board and it was suggested that more interest is needed at the airport.
C. Doyle asked for confirmation on who it taking care of mowing at the airport. The concern is that it will be mowed on a regular basis. Al’s tractor has been used in the past with a nominal charge but Al has stated that can’t go on. Jim will talk to Al and see if it can be used for the rest of the season. Discussion on getting more help for at the airport, perhaps a duty day and if a person did not want to help or could not help a fee may be assessed in replacement of labor.
Communications:
Jim has been in contact with the airports insurance carrier and Jim is sending information to renew insurance.
