Present:

Board Members: Kirk Olson, Bart Olson, Joan Weiss, Al Checky, Ed Miller                 

President Kirk Olson called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM.

Motion to approve the June 20, 2001 minutes by Joan Weiss. Seconded by Ed Miller. Approved.

Motion to adopt agenda by Ed Miller. Seconded by Joan Weiss. Approved.

Motion to approve Treasurers Report as printed by Ed Miller. Seconded by Joan Weiss. Approved.

Communications: None

Re-Election of Roger Thistle: Bart Olson nominated Roger Thistle for another 2-year term. The Board approved unanimously. Opposed None.

Damage to windsock: The windsock must be replaced. Roger Thistle recommends Liberty Flag. Secretary will order the sock.

Olson Airport Proposal: The Village of PDS and the Village of Sauk City met on July 17 to discuss the future of the airport. Three members appointed by the Sauk City board will join Prairie du Sac’s economic development committee and the Town of Prairie du Sac to review the proposal. Any new developments will be posted on the airport website at www.saukprairieairport.com.

Bart Olson reported that hangar 3A, which belonged to Charles McDaniel, was purchased by Jerry Luedtke of Middleton and he has had three more inquiries on hangar space rental.

Milt Zech Memorial: Al Checky reported that he would cement the bench in the ground when the weather cools down. Spellman Monument has not finished the inscription yet.

Al Checky presented the board with a bill for 4 mowings ($55 each for gas) totaling $220. Ed Miller made a motion to approve the bill. Seconded by Joan Weiss. Approved.

Al Checky reported that Kevin Albrecht offered to move the North windsock closer to the taxiway NE of sign that says "runway elevation". The Board was unanimously in favor. Opposed None. Approved.

President Olson asked if there were any other business; as there was none a motion to adjourn was made by Joan Weiss. Seconded by Ed Miller. Adjourned.
